Universal Yoga is a scientific system based on the knowledge of human being structure.
Universal Yoga practice harmoniously influences each body cover and creates balance between a person’s inner space and the outside world. Training sequences are built in such way so as to secure even effect on all skeleton zones – muscles, tendons, joints and all spine sections in all directions. Besides asanas, Vinyasas (dynamic movements synchronized with breath) are also used for work with body. Conscious breathing control – Pranayama (and combination of Pranayama techniques) influence the energetic structure and the mental body.
The energetic structure consists of five Koshas (body covers or layers):
1. Annamaya Kosha – organic body;
2. Pranamaya Kosha – energetic body;
3. Manomaya Kosha – mental body;
4. Anandamaya Kosha – bliss body.
Morning practice includes:
- Energy accumulating pranayamas (Kapalabhati, Bhastrika);
- Bandhas, Agnisara Dhauti (kindling alimentary fire);
- Surya Namaskar (greeting the sun) I and II, and Surya Namaskar in traditional form (with mantras and visualization of contemplation objects);
- Various training sequences.
